Cole Ramsey
Cole spent years reading drawings on job sites and writes plain-language guides to blueprints for apprentices and DIY builders.
How articles get written
Every guide on The Blueprint Primer starts with a real question readers ask about reading and understanding architectural plans, blueprints, and floor plans for beginners — line types and symbols, scale and dimensions, the full drawing set (site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules), reading and sketching floor plans, drafting by hand and with CAD, designing or choosing a house plan, and the permit and construction-document process. Drafts are researched against reputable sources, edited for clarity, and updated when best practices change. Nothing is published to fill space: if a topic doesn't deserve a full answer, it doesn't get an article.
